While I was in Bendigo recently, I attended the 20th anniversary gala choral concert of the Women of Note community choir. I had been commissioned by the choir's director, Laura Dusseljee, to compose a celebratory piece in honour of the occasion. The number of choirs participating in the gala concert swelled to twelve and included choirs from Melbourne, Bendigo and surrounding towns. It was an honour to witness the premiere performance of my composition, Come, Sing With Friends, sung by over four hundred voices!
